A DANCER'S PERSPECTIVE IS BEST FOR DANCE

This book is brilliant because Robert Tracy is an intelligent critique/dancer. He gave up most of his career to be there for Rudolf Nureyev. He made the ultimate sacrafice in the name of dance. If you read his other publications you are reading someone that had devoted their entire lives to dance and dancer. Personally, I did not care for most of Balachine's choreography. However, Mr B worshiped a mutual friend of Tracy and myself Tamara Toumanova. Like Toumanova so many of the ballerinas in this book were able to let their lights shine once the veil of Balancine was lefted from them. Tracy give you an opportunity to see the personality, feel their passions and give you the unique perspective of each of one of these great ballerinas. This book should be in the every dance library.
