Was very disappointed. I made two things from the book and they were awful. Waste of my time and ingredients.
These are the best recipes he personally tested

Dylan has tested esoteric recipes for years on his hilarious hit vlog. If he says these are the best it's because they are. This is not a menu planning book. It's a walk through your mom and grandma and great grandma's cook books past the cucumber and celery Jello straight to the crazy stuff that was genuinely delicious. If you are a fan of his videos you will love this book.
Mostly 'novelty' recipes rather than exemplars of their respective eras

Not sure how the author arrives at the descriptor 'best recipes,' but very few of these can be characterized as 'popular,' nevermind even 'good.' Never saw a cookbook where the author inserted himself unnecessarily into so many photos. If you like the author's writing style, it might be marginally entertaining; I didn't care for it.
