Bagel Books: Colors: There's No Blue on a Bagel

Excellent book! Simple, yet effective. My two year old twins have been confused about some of the colors, but for some reason this book is clearing up the muddle for them. My son loves tomatoes, so when he saw the picture of a red tomato on a bagel, the concept of the color red suddenly clicked for him. This book uses real photographs of items on a bagel, instead of just drawings. I believe that is what made the difference for my children. Yay for the bagel books! I would also highly recommend the numbers and shapes bagel books, but pass on the opposites one because some of the concepts are not clearly portrayed and may end up frustrating and confusing a little one.

My daughter--who is ten months old--LOVES this book. It is simple to read to her, and she enjoys when I repeat the phrase "on a bagel," which is on almost every page. The photos are bright and appeal to the eye...something important when sharing a book with a baby. This is such a fun little book, and I one that I highly recommend.

My 10-month-old son ADORES this book, and I must agree. It's so simple, but one of the best baby books we've bought and that's saying something! You can't tell from the picture, but there's a hole n the center and every page is a great big bagel covered with a different colored topping and the text matches " red tomato on a bagel, white cream cheese on a bagel" The colors are so vivid, it's very well done. Highly recommended, we've had it for about 3 weeks and it's totally dog eared already.
