YA thriller mystery

“You can’t outrun it, can’t outsmart it, it takes what it requires,desires.” I received an advanced copy from Simon & Schuster of a richly constructed YA mystery thriller. I love that the protagonist is not your average cool kid detective, but a complete opposite of that stereotype. It made her so human and relatable. The themes of fitting in and not fitting alluded to as a curse is pure genius. This book keeps a reader engaged to the very last “almost”.
