Bad News Religion: The Virus That Attacks God's Grace

Bad News Religion was always a book that I wanted to read ever since I heard about it. Albrect is one of my favorite speakers and authors. I was born and raised in the same denomination as him. So I can relate to a lot of what he said in this book. What he says is so true, that once you come to understand the grace of God, It literally turns your world upside down. It doesnt encourage us to live in sin, but it gives us the freedom and the passion to want to live for God. I literally tore into this book. I read it in less than a week. It is a must read for anyone who has been in legalism. The virus has been creeping into the church since day one, but God all along has been telling us that His sacrifice on the cross was enough to pay for our salvation. I would never want to go back, because the new covenant and the understanding we have in grace is priceless beyond words. Read the Book!

Like this guy ...If You Love Me, Keep My Commandments The people who quote this are usually legalists..maybe Sabbath Churches ect. They dont mean it as Jesus did..they mean it as Moses did In other words..follow the law and it will save you. Thats what this book is about. If your in a church that is all about works..all about rules..all about the outward rituals that make man feel as if they are religious...buy this book Or if your one of those who have been bewitched by the notion that your in the only true church..one with secret knowledge..fooled into to thinking Holy Days is the Key link God looks for...oh brother you need this book because you have bought a lie

This book is right on the money. We all need to move out of religion and focus on Faith alone, Grace alone and Christ alone. A great guide to see where you currently stand - in freedom or bound in legalism.

Greg is a fantastic teacher and a top notch scholar. I can't tell you how many times I've turned to him for advice. He knows legalism because he has lived it. Read this book if you are a Christian! This guy knows what he is talking about. He spent decades in a legalistic cult and now preaches grace. It's a wonderful story! Read this book if you are not a Christian, but have been turned off by some of us. Sometimes, maybe often times, we don't reflect the real Jesus. Get to know HIM! HE is the all time rebel with a cause!

Biblically sound, practical, and easy to read. I'd say this is a "must-read" for all Christians concerned about authoritarian church leadership and the rampant legalism that pretends to be true Christianity. It is eye-opening and liberating, a trumpet call for letting the gospel, not religion, have its way in the church.
