When I worked with Geri Larkin at Deloitte & Touche in the early 90s, there was another manager there with a sign behind his desk saying "Take your work seriously, not yourself." That little cliché has stuck with me and now comes in very handy to describe Larkin's book. This is her comedic memoir, a confessional of boo-boos, slip-ups, and potentially embarrassing moments within what can only be described as a dynamic and successful business career. It could have been titled "Geri's Bloopers and Practical Jokes," except that I've actually seen her hair on some of these days...this title works. She is witty, honest, and - best of all - ever aware that the minor moments are what make life fun and NOT what make or break a life. This book is for everyone who's ever lunched a client with spinach in her teeth, or worse. You've got to read some of 'em to believe 'em. And I recommend you do. One of Geri's clients (also a friend) has even created a homepage dedicated to this book. Check it out at http://www.hopper.com/book.html
