Back In Black brings Lori Back!

I love Lori Foster's writing...well, until Michael's story (My Man Michael)which was a little too out there for my tastes (I read it, and would probably give it 3 stars, and Lori usually gets 5 from me!) But, Lori followed it up with a very strong read with Back In Black. Very hard to put down and would (have) recommend this book to anyone who reads chick lit (even those who don't could get sucked in after reading this one!). Well done, Lori.Back in Black

So sad to see the SBC series end!

Love all Lori's books and have really enjoyed all books in the SBC series. Drew and Gillian are hot together and the Brett and Audrey story was a sweet addition to the book. All of the SBC fighters are strong and somewhat stubborn, but are endearing in their respect to the opposite sex. Gillian enters to work on Drew's somewhat abbrasive behavior. Drew isn't thrilled to learn his bosses feel he needs to "clean up his act", but is interested in the prospect of working more closely with Gillian. The sparks fly quickly and the action doesn't slow down. Brett meets Audrey as she campaigns against the SBC, so he doesn't reveal he is a fighter right away. Audrey respects Brett once she learns more about his past and the hard work he has put in to become as successful as he is. Brett doesn't pressure Audrey into giving up on her beliefs just points out the two sides to every story. It was nice to "see" some familiar faces from past SBC books and would have enjoyed having any of their recent stories explored, but never disappointed in Lori's work.

FAB FINISH

I loved Drew's story in Back in Black! It was a great way to finish of the SBC series... all of the main characters were back. The chemistry between Gillian and Drew was great. He is what he is, foul mouth and all and she is a 'lady' well at least in public (haha) They had great chemistry, fun dialogue and the tie in with all the other fighters was great. Another FABULOUS read from Lori Foster! Have almost all of her books(working on the older print ones) gladly add it to my fav's list.

Another Great Read from Lori Foster!

Oh, Drew Black is everything I wanted to read about and more! He's perfectly flawed and needed the right woman to match him...in the bedroom and out. Drew and Gillian are at each other from the get go and neither let up...but they each get what they want in the end. Other than the amazing chemistry between Drew and Gillian, the secondary characters also kept me flying through the pages to see what Foster would surprise me with next. I've never missed a Lori read and this is just another added to my keeper shelf! I highly recommend this book, whether you know anything about UFC or not, Back in Black will surely turn you into a fan of not only the sport, but of Lori Foster!

Loved it

Ok as I see it this was another great book. Drew and Gillian were great together...she was able to stop some of his biggest tirades in a way that made me smile..a simple "shut up Drew" or a finger across the lips and he was mute which surprised me and other characters in the book. Audrey and Brett were wonderful as well..love the strong, silent and gentlemanly Brett to no end. Yes Drew was a fouled mouthed, egotistical guy but that was pretty much for show and the parts that were him, well...he learned his lesson from Gillian. His caring for the fighters, passion for the sport and support of the charities in which he contributed was great as well. I thought she was a strong influence on him and I loved them. As for My Man Michael? I loved that book, so what if it was set in the future? You need to open your minds to new possibilities. All the fighters in this series turned out to be warm , caring , loving tough guys with pretty much marshmellow hearts in dealing with the women they came to love. So sorry the series has ended but I hear another great series is in the works and I cannot, for one , wait for them to hit the shelves!
