Babylon Mystery Religion: Ancient & Modern

Ralph Woodrow's book Babylon Mystery Religion characterized the outstanding service to Christ and love of the truth that the author had in previous years. I'm not exactly sure whether Mr. Woodrow's odd 180 degree shift from all his excellent work exposing Rome's lies has to do with the fact that his newfound blond charismatic (C.C.R.?) wife was sent as a present from the Vatican to destroy his ministry or if they got to him in other ways. Anyhow, the main thesis of his new book "The Babylon Connection?" is that his previous work, "Babylon Mystery Religion" drew mostly from Hislops' "The two Babylons", and that this work is now of questionable scholarship. The problem with that argument is that even a cursory glance at the bibliography of "Babylon Mystery Religion" shows that Hislops' book was only one of over eighty sources that Woodrow drew from. Ever heard of the straw man argument? Besides that, no one has ever stepped forward and proven Hislop wrong. Let this be a warning to all of the Catholic Church's success at silencing her critics. I will pray for you Mr. Woodrow. May we be found doing the will of the Almighty so we may stand in His day of judgement. Rome (a.k.a. Mystery Babylon) will be made desolate very soon. Rev.17:16-18

When I read this book, my Catholic life was already behind me. I wanted to praise Mr. Woodrow for the superb research that he has put into this book. Anyone who is really searching for Bible truth can look in their own public library and find much of the same information that was published in Mr.Woodrow's book. As for those that CLAIM that only ignorant people would believe in what this book contains, they are the ignorant ones! I suggest, they pick up a history book and look to find REAL answers from what has been for centuries recorded in history! I only feel regret that Mr. Woodrow retreated the information from "Babylon Mystery Religion", because I really feel that it IS an exellent book. Pick up your Bibles, and THEN compare with history books. Learn what IS truth and ONLY then the truth will set you free! And Mr.Woodrow, you were right the first time!

It greatly disturbs me having seen this book removed from print. It was most influencial in my Christian development from a Catholic background [a devout one at that] when I first read it 18 years ago. Since then, I have read and studied many other references and books all pointing to the same conclusions that were found in "Babylon Mystery Religion". What is to be said of "Fox's Book of Martyrs" [of which I have a 1926 edition - which reads quite differently from modern versions], "Fifty Years in the Church of Rome", or "Smokescreens" just to name a few. There is a lot of other material available that validates what Ralph Woodrow initially presented in his book. I must state I have nothing against Catholics, themselves, but do find that the Church itself is in great error. For those who are seeking truth - pray. God will lead you to the truth if your heart truly desires it.

If you love God's Word you will embrace this book. It exposes the whore, the mother of harlots as found in Rev. Chap.17 & 18. As an ex-catholic it unmasks secret church history never taught in catechism. It reveals the massive genocide of the inquisitions long since removed from history books and the public libraries. The author under ecclesiastical pressure has refuted his own book which is odd indeed (though not in light of church history) regardless, the extensive footnotes speak for themselves. His follow-up book proves nothing so judge for yourselves and don't listen to those who would keep you in ignorance. And as for Karl Keating's opinion he is a known catholic apologist with the obvious bias. Ask around your church circle if anyone could lone you their copy. Be a good Berean, and search the scriptures. Don't forget to return it. "...the truth will make you free"
