Baby Face

We gave this book to our oldest son when he was 10 months old, and he LOVED it! Like other reviewers have noted, it was constanly requested. In fact, this book singlehandedly got him through a 5-hour LA to DC flight. (Of course, mom and dad needed a break from the book for a while after that! But I digress...) The cartoon-ish drawings are simple yet vibrant. I also appreciated the fact that Dan Yaccarino used a variety of hair types and skin tones in the book -- lots of variety in 10-pages! My only complaint about the book is its long-term wear. It is a sturdy book, but since we were reading it almost every day for a year, it just didn't hold up. The only page that is severely damaged is the first one -- the line "Where are baby's eyes?" has a new meaning to us, as they are no longer there! If you are looking to purchase this book new, I would recommend it (although, perhaps not at the price of $27!!). But recongnize that it will last for one child only. The only reason I did not give this book a full five stars is because I was really hoping it would last to share with our younger son. (And if I could have given it 4 1/2 stars, I would have!)

My 13 month old LOVES this book! I can barely get him to sit still long enough to read a book except for this one!! He gigles through out the whole book. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This has been my daughter's favorite book. We are learning parts of the face and she learned in 3 days with this book. Every night before she goes to bed I ask her which books she would like to read and "Baby, baby, baby" is all I hear. Very cute and the hair at the end is terrific!

My 9 month old son hs a bsket full of books, and he always chooses this one!! He will sit and play with it over and over again. This isthe only book he will st stil long enough forme to read to him!!
