Baby Einstein First Words

Our daughter has loved looking at this since she was 3 months old. Very colorful and loves to sit with us while we point to each item and talk about what it is.

My toddler, who is 16 months old, absolutely loves this book. I'm not sure if every toddler is like she is, but she loves books that have a lot of different little things to look at, point at, and talk about, and this book fits the bill. Every page has a lot of different items on it - and each page has a different theme (e.g. food, transportation, wild animals, etc.) My toddler has a lot of books and she picks this one up a lot. It's a pleasant book with nice illustrations and real photos and a great mix of vibrant colors. I highly recommend the book.

My sister-in-law gave this book to my daughter for her 1st birthday, she instantly was very intrigued with the book, as she is will most of her books. The size is a pretty big size for a toddler, even older than one year, but the board book pages make it easier for her to look through the book with out any help only if it's on the floor. She cannot hold it like her other smaller books. I'm sure this book is meant for older children, (but my sister-in-law seems to disregard recommended ages for gifts for my daughter) however, I think she will get more use out of it later on. I gave 4 stars just for the fact that I think its a bit big for small kids. The pictures are bright and colorful. I do like the break down of categories like foods, animals etc., so she will learn what things go together. I would like it better if it also gave the French and Spanish word for each item, like the videos do. I guess I will just buy the videos, since they are more versatile in languages. Since the book was a gift I cannot complain.
