Australian Women's Weekly Cookbook is one of the best kept secrets for delicious recipes! This description may be from another edition of this product.
I definately agree with the above reviewer, it is a super cookbook. My edition is from 1970 and the receipes are so clearly set out. I have only had it a couple of weeks but looking at the pavlova receipes - I feel confident I could make one. Having been published in the 70s there are all those receipes that were so popular back then:- pavlovas (a whole chapter), rum babas (whatever became of them!!), cheesecakes (another chapter), fondues (yet another), scones, the list goes on and on. My big discovery was pikelets. All the cookery books I have and none of them had a pikelet receipe. This one not only has a basic pikelet receipe but several variations as well. I'm in heaven!!!
Terrific cookbook

This book is the best Australian cook book of all times. Simple, easy recipes, each having been tested 3 times, make it a terrific book for young or inexperienced budding cooks. Lots of old fashioned basic recipes that are always favourites and all fool proof. I would recommend this book to beginner and experienced cooks...terrific recipes......happy cooking.
