I stumbled over this little book quite on accident and was straightway charmed by the cover picture. A delightful, creative story about a family of mice who find a very small chestnut that features in their adventures. Great for reading aloud to the family.
After the first chapter, a fascinating story

I read this book years ago, and feel obligated to tell others how wonderful it is. "The Attic Mice" is the story about a family of mice who live in the attic (hence the name) of a family that doesn't even know they exist. The book tells about their adventures, such as going down to the kitchen to go "grocery shopping" or outsmarting the family cat, Max. Pochocki writes the stories with wondorous simplicity, and Catrow's drawings are well-done and detailed. Overall, this little book will capture the imagination of all people, of any age.
