Solid romance with appealingly independent heroine

Injured billionaire Kristian Koumantaros is on the verge of destroying Elizabeth Hatchet's nursing business. He seduced the first nurse Kristian sent, and has sent away every other nurse. Worse, the man's health isn't improving the way his doctors say it should. It's up to Elizabeth to put Kristian on the right path--and save her business. Of course, changing Kristian's direction is about as easy as is changing the direction of one of the huge freighters he owns. When his small plane crashed in the mountains, Kristian made a fateful decision. Rather than save the brother he loved, he'd saved his brother's fiancee--and didn't make it back in time to help his brother. Now he's filled with self-loathing, and a sense of self-esteem that's heavily damaged by his blindness, his inability to walk, and the disgusting mix of aged and grouchy nurses Elizabeth Hatchet's company has sent him. Still, he finds himself responding to Elizabeth herself. Elizabeth's secret is that she was once an American heiress--and married a Greek tycoon who destroyed her reputation and took a good chunk of her money. She's put that mistake behind her, but she certainly doesn't want to repeat it. Still, Kristian is not her ex-husband. But does she dare trust her heart--and her secrets--to this man? Author Jane Porter plays with the Beauty and the Beast fantasy--with injured and angry Kristian serving as the beast. Porter dangles the 'other woman' just enough to give the reader a bit of suspense, without really wasting time on her. Elizabeth's ex-husband also plays a cameo role, helping to drive Kristian and Elizabeth apart just as it seemed they could make their way through their differences. I found the end to be a bit of a let-down. I would have liked to see Elizabeth and Kristian resolve their future before Kristian learned whether his final eye operation had a chance of being successful. Still, AT THE GREEK BOSS'S BIDDING is a strong work with two damaged but engaging characters, a fun play at retelling fairy tales, and the obligatory billionaire (with a bonus this time).
A classic Jane Porter short romance thrill!

Jane Porter's At The Greek Boss's Bidding is a contemporary romance focusing on The Greek Tycoon as the hero in a series. Jane Porter is the ultimate at writing explosive romance that takes the reader on roller-coaster with a range of emotions along with her characters --- and this is one of the author's best short romances! Sensual, driven by conflict, intensity and overwhelming physical attraction, this romance is a riveting and fun read. Recovering from a horrifying accident, Kristian Koumantaros uses a wheelchair and is blind. Despite his physical limitations, Kristian is a powerful and seductive force who would match and better any walking man. When he sends away every nurse Elizabeth Hatchet sends him, her small company is nearly bankrupt from expenses. She decides that the only solution is to deal with this impossible patient herself even if it means a trip to Athens and a donkey ride up through winding paths to the remote monastery-turned-estate in Taygetos. Explosive banter, sexual attraction, plot twists, emotional twists and quite a few underlying secrets lead to excitement. Elizabeth is a source of frustration to the hero because she is a physical therapist and enforces a rigorous rehabilitation plan on this powerful Greek tycoon. Kristian is powerful and used to being in charge and having people obey his commands. Unlike all his other nurses, Elizabeth is strong and independent. She refuses to be wound around his finger. As the sparks of frustration and passion grow between Kristian and Elizabeth, will the electricity heat up enough to ignite or will they somehow find a way to their hearts? When their past secrets are exposed, can romance win or will the past overshadow their passion? At The Greek Boss's Bidding is a wonderful romance that is superbly written and a delight to read. The prologue hooks in the reader from the beginning and never lets up. The emotions range from tense drama to moments of tenderness. Both characters are dynamic, strong and independent. Just when the two reach a calm, an exposed secret or a person, enters. Kristian and Elizabeth are both faced with challenges that heighten the passion and expose the person beneath. Jane Porter's writing is magnificent in all the ways that count: careful attention to setting, character development and plot development. Whereas the reader experiences a face paced roller coaster ride, Jane Porter creates each detail with sharp meticulous precision. Magnificent!
At the Greek Boss's Bidding- A Joyfully Recommended Title

Kristian Koumantaros was in a terrible accident that cost him his eyesight and the use of his legs temporarily. He has secluded himself in the Taygetos Mountains of Greece. Elizabeth Hatchet is a nurse and owner of First Class Rehab. Kristian has run off every nurse Elizabeth has hired for him so she is now taking over his care. Kristian and Elizabeth get off to a rocky start. Kristian is obstinate and rude but Elizabeth won't put up with his negativity or self-pity. She fully intends to get him back on his feet and back to the land of the living. She wasn't prepared for what Kristian would do for her life though. At The Greek Boss's Bidding is romantic, emotional and sensual. Kristian is irresistible; he's dynamic and sexy. Elizabeth is kind and caring and a good match for him. I was thoroughly charmed by Kristian and delighted by this tender story. I didn't want it to end! Nannette Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed
Passion, Determination and Pride!

To describe this book I would use the adjectives passion, pain, loneliness, despair, wealth, determination and pride. This was truly a story which goes to show one that money can't buy everything.......it can't buy love and it certainly can't buy happiness. Both of these characters came from extreme wealth and position. Kristian Koumantaros was in a horrible accident and not only in pain due to physical injuries but he had lost use of his legs and eye sight. His disposition was so miserable he went through several nurses and sent them all running. Now the owner of an English nursing firm has come to an isolated location in Greece make sure she gets the job done and helps this angry and desolate man heal. Elizabeth Hatchet suffered her own pain from a failed marriage, and hiding secrets about her past. She has been hired by a woman she believes to be Kristian's fiancé and if she does not help him to get on his feet, Elizabeth fears she will loose her nursing business. She also becomes aware of just how handsome, rugged and sexy this Greek billionaire is and vows not to succumb to his charm. However, the tables are turned on both Kristian and Elizabeth as the attraction between them sizzles, a friendship develops and they share an evening of passion. But it doesn't just stop there......they run into Elizabeth's ex-husband and her true identity is exposed! This is a wonderful story about finding peace, respect, joy and love during an incredible healing process. Bravo Jane Porter for again, entertaining your readers with a strong and powerful love story set in beautiful Greece.

The main characters are Kristian Koumantaros and Elizabeth are lovable funny, strong willed characters. Krisian is of course the alpha male but taken down a peg or two or three do to an accident that lost him his ability to walk or see along with his brother and several close friends. At this stage when you found out so much besides his physical injuries you can sympathize with why the guy is so bitter, but as the story progresses you see the healing process being and how his "forced proximity" and relationship with Elizabeth brings him full circle from tragedy to hope and love. If your looking for a quick read a cute and belivable love story with characters that give you a good laugh and a tear for good measure, pick up this book. I also recommend "MARCO'S PRIDE" also by Jane Porter!
