Great gift for sojourners who want to shore up their faith

Margaret Silf wrote At Sea with God. It arrived as a gift. Since then it has been my gift to 3 friends and 1 co-worker. It is like a mini-retreat on the desk ready for me when I make the time to set sail. Each chapter's reflection is like a short journey of faith with an illustration I've seen at sea come alive with God's Spirit. It has my highest recommendation for men and women who want to grow in their spiritual formation.

Margaret Silf made use of a powerful metaphor for journeying with God on a personal level. This book is full of wonderful ways to deepen the reader's understanding of the material that she presents. I am finding this book very useful as I embark on a new venture in my spiritual journey. I have used the language of her metaphor to help others move deeply into our shared project.
