This is a fun little book. The author was a field technical manager for Bausch & Lomb, as well as being a lecturer on astrophotography at the Hayden Planetarium in New York. Of course, being written in 1986 it deals with film cameras, but the tricky part about astrophotography is setting up the telescope and tracking techniques. This is all explained very clearly and you can read this book in a single sitting. There's a nice forward by Isaac Asimov and tons of good (and bad!) photographs. Finally we have a book with photo captions like "kicked the tripod on this shot", what a relief from all the Hubble images other books keep sneaking in. If you can locate a copy of this little book, get it.
