Both my 4 and 7 year old boys enjoy this book. Since both their father and I have always enjoyed science fiction and space, so we were very excited to see something available for our children. We are all hoping that this becomes a multibook series.
Getting Kids Interested In Space Again
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
When I read this book with my little nieces I remembered what it was like when I was their age and America was trying to get to the moon. It seemed like everything kids ever talked about was space, and we all wanted to grow up to be Neil Armstrong. Between boring shuttle missions and failed mars landers, kids today have lost interest. This book helps bring back the excitement of those early days, and it couldn't come at a better time. We're really building a space station and by the time my nieces grow up, they could actually visit it. Maybe their kids (or grandkids) will be like the young people in "2050". At the very least, that's what the girls went to bed dreaming about that night.
Great for young boys and girls

This is a terrific book for girls as well as boys. Itintroduces space science in a fun and engaging way and it shows younggirls that they can be space explorers as well. I'm looking forward to the whole series.
