This is a beautifully written and illustrated book which attempts to cheerfully answer with great imagination where the animals came from!The illustrations truly are a delight and the accompanying poetic prose allows for discussion as well as an informal art lesson. The pictures are beautiful enough to be framed!

A sheer delight of language and art. Aska's Animals will delight the reader and the child. The illustrations are sucsessful in capturing the essence of each animal, and the textual art flows from page to page as sunlight drenches a darkened room. . I was amazed at the written and artistic images used, it almost seemed to good for a "Picture Book". If you want a terrifc book for a child this is it. . . Read it, it's good enough to have on a coffee table as a interest point, or to read as a bedtime story. You will be suprised at it's intense images. . Sheer briliance.
