All parents should introduce their children to Freddy the Pig

Freddy the Pig was a creation of Walter Brooks, who wrote the text and Kurt Wiese, who did the illustrations. Freddy appeared in a set of 29 books written for children and this book is a selection of illustrations and captions from those books. Freddy is a classic character that engages in a great deal of actions and adventures. In some captions, he is more human than pig, yet in others he reverts back to his natural state of being a barnyard animal. A wide and imaginative set of characters are in supporting roles and most of them are also animals that move back and forth from their natural animal state to a human-like existence. There are a few humans and sometimes the adults are disbelieving of what the animals do when exhibiting their human-like traits, although the children consider it natural. Throughout it all, the animals do things that children do when playing, which is one of the most charming aspects of the Freddy characters. The first Freddy book was published in 1927, so several generations of children have passed since then. However, these books are timeless, so I can strongly recommend that you expose your children to the magic of Freddy and his friends.
