I was lucky to receive a preview copy of this fun, fast paced, enjoyable vacation read. I enjoyed this book so much that it took me less than 24 hours to read, as I had to find out what was going to happen next. Fans of John Grisham's novels will definitely enjoy the characters and all of the twists and turns in The Armageddon Conspiracy. I am already eagerly awaiting John Thompson's next book. The rumor is that it will be a sequel to this one. I sense we may have found a worthy successor to Jason Bourne. ENJOY!

If you are a fan of intrigue and conspiracy then you have found yourself the best book of the year. I loved the writing style: fast paced, with a brilliantly crafted narrative that instantly gives you the creeping sense that something very sinister is afoot! This political thriller really hits the ground running with a well-oiled story that keeps your heart thumping with anticipation wondering who dunnit? This is the type of novel you want to read on a sandy beach or stuck in the airport, the story has so many true-to-life plots twists that it's easy to forget you are reading a work of fiction. I can't wait for book two!

John Grisham is about to take a back seat in the "suspense with intelligence" category! John Thompson's novel is compelling - in great part because he writes with a mastery of complicated political and religious issues and with a "voice" that is totally real and accessible. There is nothing staged or manipulative about the plot; in fact, that is probably what makes the book so engrossing and frightening. At times, I expected to turn on the news and hear that it was all real. Be prepared to block off some time, because once you begin to read ARMAGEDDON CONSPIRACY,you will be unable to focus on anything other than finding out how it all ends.
