I homeschool 3 children (15, 12, 12) and have found that this is an excellent tool to incorporate into our daily work. We call the subject daily grammar. The book is set up by days(Day 1, Day 2, etc.). After pulling my children from public school, we found their phonics and grammar not to be where we would have liked. They can write and spell but seemeed to lack the knowledge of the basic rules at times. I found these lessons to be short, simple, scripture based and very easy for them to go through. As you can see I have a 15 year old(he was 14 when he started using this last year) but if your child has seemed to have lost the basics this is a good way for them to shore up that foundation. I have 12 year old twins I used the other Apples product for them, it was called Apples to Apples, this one was great as it taught the grammar or spelling rule for multiple days and basically caused the kids to memorize the rule without even realizing it. I used these products as daily task that they just go through on their own and I check it weekly. Next school year I am going to switch out the products and give the 15 year old the Apples to Apples and the twins the Apples 2. They only take less than 10 minutes and it really does reinforce the grammar and spelling rules that we all manage to forget as time goes on. Great product!
