Exceptional, insightful and clever

This is the perfect gift for someone who appreciates great design in everyday objects. Who would have thought these items would become collectable! Lisa Roberts obviously recognized something special before any of us did and I surely hope there is a second book in the works. I have really enjoyed sharing my Antiques of the Future with friends and family.

Can't wait to see the next edition

I don't even know where to begin to express the enjoyment I received from reading this book. I was engaged from page one and read the entire book in one sitting. Not only is it a great conversation piece on my coffee table but I am now looking forward to receiving more enjoyment as I give it to friends for the holidays along with items that will one day be "Antiques of the Future". Ms. Roberts has done an exceptional job with not only the writing, which is informative and humorous, but also the visual impact of the entire book. The unique photographic and creative approach parallels the achievements of the designers found within.

Not just for the coffee table!!

This book is informative, stimulating, and so well-designed that it undoubtedly will become a collectible "Antique of the Future" itself...It uses clever settings for photos of household products that are, or will become, design icons, along with a brief description of the item, its designer, and the inspiration for the design. I hope to have the pleasure of meeting Ms. Roberts some day.

Love it

This book was a great addition to my library. I was surprised to see some of the objects that I own and love might be worth something someday, and to find out why. I have a few other "conversation piece" books on products, but most of them only talk about one type of design (like chairs) or are organized historically. I like that this book has a great variety of objects. The only bad thing is that now I want to own everything in the book!

Excellent!

This book in a class of its own. Each page is filled with wonderful photography and intriguing facts about products you may or may not know. It will have you collecting before you know it, and wondering why you didn't come up with the idea yourself. It makes a great gift and is sure to start a conversation. I give it my highest recommendation!
