ISBN 1584856149 - Having just read Angelina Ballerina's Shapes (Angelina Ballerina), I knew what to expect in this book and wasn't disappointed. This series of introductory books for toddlers is proving to be surprisingly good, despite the fact that the appeal is greater for girls than boys. From "one mouseling spinning" to "ten mouselings skating", Angelina and her friends teach young readers to count. Each number is written in numbers and letters and the numbers are accompanied by illustrations of the correct number of mice. The last two pages are full of ideas of creative ways to make counting fun. The board book binding of this series is absolutely perfect. The pages are easy to turn and difficult to bend and the books are small enough that young children will have no trouble holding them. The text, by Katherine Holabird, is basic; Helen Craig's illustrations are great for counting and full of fun details. - AnnaLovesBooks

I received this book for free when I purchased the Angelina Ballerina movie THE SHOW MUST GO ON, and was greatly impressed. ANGELINA BALLERINA'S 123 features an easy way for toddlers to learn their numbers from 1-10, by featuring gorgeous illustrations featuring different amounts of mouselings participating in different activities, such as spinning, cycling, etc. The book also offers something for parents in the very end. ANGELINA BALLERINA'S 123 features 2 full-color pages featuring different tips for parents on how they can help their children learn their numbers, and how to count, by offering different activities to teach them.Young children who enjoy ballet, the ANGELINA BALLERINA movies, or the ANGELINA BALLERINA stories will relish in the illustrations of their favorite character; and parents will relish in the fact that their children are having fun and actually learning something at the same time. A must-have book for all parents of toddlers, who are looking for a fun, yet easy, way of teaching their children how to count. NOTE: ANGELINA BALLERINA'S 123 is a hardcover book, with pages that are also hardcover, so young children will be unable to rip, or destroy it.Erika Sorocco
