Very pleased! Fast delivery and packaged well. Pastor Gansky is a gifted writer and every one of his books has a twist I least expected. I wonder if his sermons are as interesting!
Favorite Gansky book

Angel is not your typical "alien visitor who is not what he seems." This is an impressive novel with plenty of action, plot twists and compelling characters. Gansky's J.D. Stanton series have been my favorites of his until this stand-alone book came out. The story is narrated by a reporter who expects her life to be taken before she can tell the world of her findings. She was the closest person to the benevolent alien who brings new technology and healing to the earth. Along the way she discovers the truth, and flees in hopes of thwarting his plans. As a Catholic, I enjoyed the Christian aspects of the book in particular, and saw a much broader meaning than a non-Christian might see, but I truly believe anyone at all would enjoy this book immensely.
Great story from start to finish

After being a little disappointed in "Finder's Fee", I was thrilled with "Angel". Starting with a hopeless situation (a woman resigned to die tells her story so SOMEONE will hear it before it's too late). Gansky keeps the character of Aster ambiguous for a while before slowly showing us he has an agenda of his own. Unlike the slow middle of "Finder's Fee", "Angel" never really slows down. The concept of an alien coming to earth to offer help isn't a new one, but the way Gansky handles his story makes it really unique. The ending is powerful. One thing that's great about Alton Gansky is the fact that he writes every genre you can think of. If you love speculative fiction or Sci-fi, you'll really enjoy this story.
