NEHRU an sutobiography

Jawaharlal Nehru was Prime Minister of the new democracy of India upon the assassination of Mahatma Gandi in 1948. He was Prime Minister until his death in 1964. Here he writes of his early years when India was vieing for its independence from England. The whole movement from the start was one of peace. Nehru was jailed for protesting: much of his writings transpired while jailed. This is a remarkable man who, although from the upper middle class of India, dedicated his life to helping and freeing the poorest people in his country.
