I don't typically write reviews for the books that I read, but I was thinking of this book a few nights ago and couldn't find it. First, I have an extraordinary love of angels. Not religiously but in a spiritual sense... I have always believed we were guided and indeed guarded by angels... Next, I absolutely adore romance writings, poetry, stories, prose... This book caught my heart the day I bought it in late 98, (I believe) and when I tried to find it the other day I was amazed that I could still, after all these years remember the name of it. I couldn't find my original copy so my plan when I came on line was to purchase yet another copy and I was stunned to see that it's rating was only 3 stars. For a book that has a wonderful angel, a naive, confused and hurt young lady with a knack of finding the wrong kind of love in all the wrong places -And a serious love story--- this book is a must for any true romantic!
Wonderfully Original And Entertaining!

Wow. This book was so original. An angel falling in love with a mortal, and giving up heaven for her. This book was different, and the chemistry between the characters is so explosive my pages almost singed. I love the little mystery entwined with the book, and when Emily gives up her life for Michael, I felt Michael's remorse. Great book, and Devereaux's views on what happens after death are interesting.
An Angel For Emily

I really enjoyed this book. I love Jude Deveraux, I have read many of her books and I was not disappointed when I read this one. I'm not sure if it was the mystery, the romance, or if I just couldn't wait to see what funny thing Michael was going to say to Emily next I just couldn't put this book down!
i really like this book

i don't know why everyone is saying this book is not good, but i sure did enjoy this. I mean Micheal is just the type of angel i wouldn't mind have right? He's love for Emily was so great he rather live a happy life then being an angel. If i had an angel like Micheal, i wouldn't mind... I recommand this this book who believes in a hansome, sexy, and great sense of humor angel.
A winner

Not since her books "A Knight In Shining Armor" and "Sweet Liar" has Jude Deveraux written characters so interesting and believable. I couldn't put this book down (even waiting for the bus in the rain). For those new to Deveraux's books, this is a must read.
