Van Earl and Shirley Chambers were born of the silent generation, like many, of humble beginnings. Running water and indoor plumbing were a rarity in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in north Georgia where they grew up. From there they embarked on a life together which took them and their growing family into the 21st century, but holding dearly to the values and virtues of the early 20th century, all the way.
