Rhyme and Colonists add interest to ABC review

A Fanicful Story of This and That! The illustrations are simply gorgeous in this hardcover book! It is a cute story, told in rhyme, about Amy, who wants to bake pies, and how Ben helps her to gather the needed supplies. As they are working, they hear a fifer and he announces that there is to be a fair. They rush off to the village to join in the fun. Along the way you are introduced to the various trades and merchants who were common during Colonial times. Amy and Ben eventually meet up with General George Washington in their trip about the village and he gives Ben his tri-corn hat. Each letter of the alphabet is featured on the pages of this story and it is a great way to introduce the Colonists' culture to young readers while reviewing the ABC's! Be sure to also catch "A Colonial Williamsburg ABC" if you like this one.
