America's Story: Student Reader, Book 1 to 1865

I use this book as part of my curriculum to teach US History to beginning level middle school ESL students. It is also helpful for more intermediate students who have very little prior knowledge of US History. It is written entirely in the simple past tense.

This is a great, easy to read history book. America's Story: Book One to 1865 is the first part of a two part group. It has both text and workbook pages with pictures. It is easy to read and understand. America's Story is geared toward the younger learner. It is a must purchase for a child who is having problems with US History or for reinforcement of lessons. We used it as part of our homeschool social studies program. Answer key, however, is purchased in a seperate book.
