What Country is This? by Hortense Calisher The Church of No Reason by Andrea Barrett is about a dysfunctional family in Massachusetts. The New Boy by Josephine Carson is about the birth of a baby boy in Mexico and the consequences. Wherever That Great Heart May Be by W.D. Wetherell. The stories range in topics, locations, and completely are independent of one another. If you're into short stories, you will love it.
