Every American would benefit from reading this.

If you're interested in learning about early American history but would like it to be put into a bit more of a modern perspective, this is the book for you. It's a discussion of the founders as your high school history class never did - it places their policies, stories, and decision making styles in comparison to what is happening in America today. It reminds us how similar we are to our eighteenth century selves and helps you better understand who the founding fathers were as people. This book is brilliantly researched, well written and written in a way that those afraid of dry, boring history textbooks will still love it.
