I highly recommend this book to anyone who has thyroid problems themselves or in their family. I have been going to doctors for 19 years now after a total thyroidectomy because of thyroid cancer. I was sent home from hospital with little information and told to take tablets for the rest of my life. I have been having regular checkups but have always wanted to know why did it happen. This book told me more than any doctor has in all those years. I found myself saying "Why wasn't this book around when I was going through it all?"
