Disappointed. Needing to have a Heart Healthy diet, this cookbook appears to be self published, has less than healthy recipes at times. Not all recipes appear to follow heart healthy guidance. E.g., use low fat margarine, boil your corn in water with 2 tablespoons of sugar, add mini marshmallows to your sweet potato casserole. Grill a thick chunk of ham with lots of brown sugar. Ridiculous
Simple, great and healthy!

I have been pleasantly surprised at how easy and tasty the meals in this cookbook are. The book is organized really simply and contains a lot of great information that's straight-forward and very useful. I'm not one for writing reviews usually, but I have to say this cookbook really stands out.
Great, healthy recipes - Not Celebrity gimmicks

Apparently providing high quality advice with great recipes from a reputable source isn't what it takes to sell a book these days. It's unfortunate that nowadays in order to sell a book you have to be: a whacky (extensively liposuctioned) celebrity with a strong media platform; endorsed by some talk show host who can't solve her own poor eating habits; or come up with a gimmick that promises a quick-fix solution that ultimately doesn't really work anyway. I bought this book recently at the bargain book counter at Barnes & Noble. The advice is sound. The recipes are healthy, nutritious and delicious and there are no fads or gimmicks. No wonder it didn't sell. Marc L. Paulsen, author of: Size 2 for Life: The Rational, Frame-adjusted Approach to Weight Loss for Women., The Last Generation to Die and Wasteland
