Jude Deveraux

Jude is one of the best writers in the world. I have every book she has ever written. I reread them every several years.

I really liked the series BUT

Really it ended in a way that made you think that there was going to be another book. I am very sad to see that this is a last book and that is that which almost makes it not work the read. I love Jude Deveraux's books, I really do but I haven't read a series that ended this way before. I rated it high because over all I did like the series, but as far as I'm concerned it needs to be finished. What happens?

Couldn't put the book down. I have read, and own, every book that Jude Deveraux has written. Yes, I agree one must read the first two in the series to understand fully what is happening. But WOW was I impressed with the book overall. Excellent work and very creative. There seems to be a hint of magic in all her work. That is one thing that I love about her writing. And I never struggle to turn the page. She writes with a flowing story that makes one want to keep reading well past bed time. Thanks again for a wonderful read. I want to write more about the story line but don't want to give it away. Adam and his sister get the new start, not Darci. They have more pleasant childhood memories..........If you have read the first two books get this one. You wont be sorry.

I Liked It

I agree with many of the reviewers that this book left the reader 'unfullfilled' but I actually like the story. Who said this series had to be a trilogy? I feel that the book left many questions unanswered and also many different paths for the next book. At the end Henry was talking about Darci's "next" trial - we have so many avenues to explore! Jack's idea of his dad's money helping Darci to fight evil sounds like a plan..... And assuming Darci's dad and Bo (or Elizabeth) hooks up, it would be interesting to see just what the kids can do with proper training... Especially since Darci felt that the kids had greater potential than herself. So please Ms. Deveraux, don't leave us in the lurch!
