This book is a concise introduction to the wars America was involved on the 20th century, covering up to Somalia, 1993. It starts with a brief about the Spanish- American war at 1898 and the WWI, where American forces were called "our Italians" by the British (US it to England as Italy to Deutchsland). Through the time, despite all the problems on the way and turn downs as Vietnan, the book shows how US defense forces became the most respected war machine of the century.As not american and not having great knowledge on the topic, I found the book excelent and very informative, and also better wrote than the others in the serie.
