Book Overview

Ray Johnston, a 41 year-old trucker from Memphis, had long ago got tired of everyone telling him how much he looked like Elvis. When his mother died, Ray found some journals and learned he was adopted. He also discovered that he was born in the same hospital on the same day as Elvis. Could he really be the King's twin brother?

Awesome Read...Hard to Put Down

I am always looking for new mystery writers and was excited to find Final Exposure by Steve Carlson. I had read his previous book Almost Graceland and loved it. In Final Exposure, a great mystery, he has shown his diverse writing ability. The characters and the story line are very appealing ... a real page turner. This book is filled with emotions...love, laughter, despair, fear, terror. It was a quick read from the standpoint that I couldn't put it down! I am anxiously awaiting more mystery books from this wonderful new author, Steve Carlson!

Refreshing Grisham-like page turner with twists and turns.

This newest effort by Steve Carlson combines the terrorist threats we see daily with plenty of suspense and cliff-hanging interspersed with quite a variety of interesting characters. Carlson conveys a loving relationship cut short by a heinous act, followed by despair and resolution for revenge and to prevent a major terrorist act. The reader will find this hard to put down as each chapter introduces new threats, twists, turns and surprises leading to it's gut-wrenching conclusion.

OUTSTANDING ELVIS FICTION!

WOW! This is a wonderful historical fiction book on Elvis. What a great idea this author had for a story - so creative. I enjoyed every moment of it and hated to see it end. Great job!!

Just When You Thought Everything Was Written

I grew up with Elvis and thought everything had been written about him, then, along comes Almost Graceland, What if Elvis's twin brother hadn't really died, but was given by a "compassionate" midwife to parents who had just lost their newborn? Is it possible that their paths could cross? What relationship could they possibly have? What is the power of the connection between identical twins? I turned the pages quickly to find out what might have happened.

A lot of fun for everyone

This is a fun read for all ages; no offensive passages and the story moves quickly. Elvis fans will find it a must read. I got wrapped up immediately with Roy, the main character, who has a few more problems than the average guy trying to make ends meet, and usually finding himself slipping further into debt. He's about as far down the rungs as he's ever been when he discovers his mother's journals, and learns he was adopted and born on the same day as Elvis. He begins to wonder. . . could there be a genetic reason as to why he looks like an Elvis clone? Inevitably Roy and Elvis meet, and we witness a surreal dichotomy between a struggling man trying to keep his head above water, and a man who is rich and world-famous. The Elvis factor is intriguing (why hasn't anyone thought of that before?) and has you rooting for Roy (wouldn't this solve all his problems?). What would it be like to discover you were Elvis's twin brother? Hey, what! Turn the page and find out.
