I would recommend this book for people who like fantasy. The story has one unusual character and lots of unusual things that happen. Quentin is a boy (...) whose family was poor. One day while Quentin was coming home from fishing his tire went flat. So he pumped it up, but when he got on the bike it went flat again. And again and again. Then he heard a voice from a well. He went over to it and the voice told him to use his fishing pole to get him out. Quentin was surprised by what (or who) he pulled up. I can't say very much but after what happened next, he got three wishes. And two minutes later, he only had one! Guess what he wished for? ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD! What I liked about ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD was the boomerang money. You'll just have to read this book to find out what I mean.Other people would probably like this book too. They probably wonder what they would do if they had three wishes. I read this book in two days, which is really fast for me.
Enjoyable tale with a moral.

Life is rough, and then you meet leprechauns.Quentin longs to be well-off, like his two best friends, and when he meets a leprechaun named Flan who offers him a wish, it seems that luck has swivelled in his direction. He wishes for "all the money in the world. But there's a small problem--not only is every nation on the planet now bankrupt, HE CAN'T SPEND OR GIVE THE MONEY BACK! It's stuck on his family's property. Quentin and his friends must discover a way to thwart Flan and return the world to its normal state before it is thrown into turmoil. This is a nice, light little book that teaches you not to want all the money in the world. I mean, does it make Quentin happy?

As a teacher, this book is a great connection to the way money really works!! What kid hasn't wished to have all the money in the world? This book is a great description of what would happen, and what money is really all about. My kids love to listen to it as a read aloud, and I love to be Flan!!!
