This book was a great help. The short chapters are broken down into subchapters followed by exercises. The book is clear, direct and easy to follow. It covers many terms and rules I remembered hearing in school, but didn't grasp. They are presented in a format that I could study on my own; I use it as a quick reference when I'm not sure of something. It's great as a remedial book and in the same category as Painless...

This is a very good book, no matter what the "reader from Maryland" says below ... s/he is just simply _wrong_ about grammar - the phrase on the cover is perfectly correct. This is really a very useful book. You won't regret it if you buy it.
