This is the best book I have read in a long time. It is beautifully written and jarring. It speaks to family, love, addiction, trauma, racism, death, hope and survival. Absolutely brilliant.

All My Rage is the story of two Pakistani American teenagers growing up in a small desert town in California. Salahudin and Noor are outsiders and best friends facing incredibly adverse circumstances. The richly developed characters drew me in immediately and I felt that I was right alongside them. All My Rage also includes the story of Salahudin's parents, told in a dual timeline. This book is a beautiful, raw and haunting...

First of all, I want to say that I read this book in a day, aside from the first look. This book wasn’t always very easy to read, but it was very powerful. Honestly, it made me feel for immigrants and Muslims in a way I’ve never felt before.
