A combat and tour-of-duty biography about First Lt George W Looney, a forward artillery observer in the 196th US Field Artillery. On December 17, 1944, George began calling the 196th's artillery fire on the attacking Germans. Little did he know the attackers were Joachim Pieper's SS Blow Torch Battalion.
Very good, tons of pictures, but in my tought readers expect more about real jeeps and less about very old or recent four wheel military vehicles. In contrast of the title, there are too many pages describing other vehicles than "All American Wonder". At least should have much more information about M38, M38A1, M606, CJ's, the authentics relatives of WWII jeep... But it's a very good book, no doubt.
