This book is an excellent primer on the great game of football. It begins with the basics of the structure and dimensions of the field and then goes on to describe the various positions on offense and defense and the basic rules. A brief history and brief profiles of some of the greatest players follow. The book closes with lists of football terms and the all-time records in the National Football League (NFL). While the knowledgeable football fan will find the book dull, the person that knows little about the game will find it an excellent place to begin their study of the exciting game of football.
