All About Basketball, by George SullivanReviewed by B. Allen, P. 5Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, and Julius Erving. If you had to use these names in one category, you would probably put them in as some of the best basketball players ever. This book gives you their bios., records, and so much more. That's not all! This book also talks about the history of basketball and how the game started.I enjoyed learning about the players' records and their accomplishments. Here is a direct quote from the book that really got me into it, "Chamberlain's best season as a scorer was 1961-62. He finished with 4,029 points in 80 games, an average of 50.4 points per game. That's a record that still stands." Here is another quote that is great, "Jordan can shoot with accuracy from midrange to long distance. His head bobbing and his tongue wagging, he beats defenders with either hand at different speeds from any spot on the floor." Michael Jordan spent his career playing for the Chicago Bulls, and has been an excellent basketball player to watch on the court. My favorite part of the book was the biographies where they talked about the famous and not so famous players in the history of basketball. I recommend this book to anyone who is into basketball and wants to learn more about its history.
