All Aboard to Work--Choo-Choo!

I am a big fan of Carol Roth, and bought every book of hers. Her best is The Little School Bus (terrific and smart rhymes, very unique and wimsy pictures). The other books are ok -4 stars-, and I was really looking forward to getting this book since my son is a huge train lover. This book is good, but not as good as The Little School Bus in my opinion. I like the rymes and pictures of The Little School Bus a lot better. But you can learn about different jobs and it has a train, so not a bad choice for a little boy.

A group of animals gets ready to start another busy day of work. After heartfelt goodbye kisses and waves to their kids, each worker steps on the train en route to a full day on the job. The end of the day brings a train ride home and time spent caring for children. With its rhyming text, melodic choo-choo refrain, and cheerful illustrations, this book will appeal as a read-aloud for very young children. It can also provide a useful opportunity to talk with youngsters about different types of jobs, as well as work within and outside the home.
