This author is an acknowledged expert on Ships - especially naval ships and this is one of his best works. It tells the complete story of the Aircraft Carrier from their humble origins in WW1 right up to 1979. Using some incredible historic photographs - many of which I had not previously seen, this book would have scored the full 5 Star rating had the information not ended in 1979. Nevertheless, there is still a lot to learn from this excellent work. NM
