Wisdom and Understanding on Aging

My father died when I was young. I've missed him over the years, but as I've aged (I'm forty-seven years young), I've missed Dad even more. I yearn for his advice, wisdom, and understanding--to help me over the hurdles in my life. After reading Aging is an Attitude, I felt as though I had just had a heart-to-heart talk with my dad. I got answers in this book that I didn't even know I needed--answers I never thought I would see. Thank you, Mr. Murphey. Cecil Murphey touches on many important issues that we all face in our lives: fear of aging, fear of death (a fear a lot of us have), how to handle these problems, and so much more. His wisdom and experience abounds on the pages of this book. This book isn't just for the aging, though. If you're young, it will show you how to prepare in life for when you are older. If middle-aged, it will help you to gear up for your senior years. If a senior, it will gently guide you toward your final journey. Aging is an Attitude will encourage you, help you to relax, and enjoy your life--no matter your age. I highly recommend this book.

Aging Should Be Exciting

Cecil Murphey shows how life can be an adventure, with the later years more challenging and exciting than ever. He embraces the advantages of growing older and shows how we can accept our age as an achievement. In pondering the process, he turns the tables on our culture's tendency to look down on the elderly by quoting the apostle Paul's admonition to Timothy, "Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young." Depending on our attitude, our age can be either right or wrong. This is a must read for any adult who thinks he or she might grow older.
