Adolescents Talk about Reading

This book provides some great insight in to the minds of high school students who have fallen out of love with reading. I enjoyed the case studies, but found much of Reeves findings to be common sense. Of course students are not going to want to read if they don't find the texts relevant and they are not given the opportunity to interact with texts in ways that are meaningful to them. I would recommend this book to any teacher is who just starting their career in the English/LA field or to a veteran teacher who may just need to get a better understanding of why they can't motivate their students to read.
