Excellent book on The Struggles of The American Revolution

This is a fantastic book. If you want a day by day account of the struggles to obtain their freedom from Britain, this is the book to read. It is easy to understand-so much so you feel you are there with them. How The First Americans ever survived what they did is almost totally unbelievable. A bunch of rag tag pilgrims had to get themselves together to renege against the foolish tyrannical laws Britain was issuing out through their appointed Governor in the colonies. They were being taxed to death to provide for England. The Boston Tea Party is fun to read. John Adams even said if they had been using their brains they most likely could have avoided dumping the tea Adams is truly one of the most interesting people in all over history if not the most interesting. The trials and tribulations he went through are unimaginable. He is almost blind, physical problems; most likely in pain most of the time but kept going even to representing the colonies in France also taking his sons with him. John jr was only six when he first went with his father to France and learned French so well he had to teach his father. Then John Jr. ends up being the 6th President of the U.S. When I start a book like this, I think it might be dull but from the minute you get into the lives of these brave people, you just cant put it down. Our (or my) school books long ago were not very interesting-not put so that we could care. I do wish our school books had been like this one(and also John Truslow Adams books on The Founding of America, etc.) Our ancestors literally went through hell to carve out this country for us.
