Across the Shores: Four Women, Bound by Generations, Find Love Where They Least Expect

The Veil is the second story in the Across the Shores collection. Set in Baltimore, The Veil is a historical romance that uses the 1877 railroad strike to bring the hero and heroine together. Franz Kohler is the best sort of man, whose tenderness will make you feel all swoony. Caroline Wilkins is a bit more guarded and throughout the story readers will grow more anxious to discover what she’s hiding behind her veil. These two characters are well developed and have a sweet chemistry. You’ll root for them to fall in love. I haven’t read the other three stories, but I’m sure they will be very good. Goshorn has created a sweet, faith-filled story that will leave you feeling satisfied.
