Travel photographer Scott Wolfe is on assignment photographing beautiful models on the sun-drenched benches of Acapulco when he witnesses a brutal murder through the lens of his camera. A former Navy... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Cliff Hollenbeck has written a hugely entertaining novel in Acapulco Goodbye. I'm usually up for reading anything about Navy SEALs, but the quality can be hit and miss. Acapulco is definitely a hit. There is excellent action and good, sympathetic characters. A great rainy day snuggle by the fireplace type of book. I highly recommend it.As an aside, also check out Cliff's new book, Warrior Elite, that he did with Dick Couch. A better book on SEAL training you will not find.
A great book.

For his first novel, I think Cliff Hollenbeck has done a great job. Can't wait till the next one.

And what could be better. Hollenbeck's action packed story takes us through a former SEAL team member's effort to right a wrong. Wasting no time, the heavy action starts on page nine and rolls merrily along for the next 200 pages. It's a perfect "flight shortener" if you're prone to the tedium of commercial aviation. The SEAL tactics and gear are especially well employed in this very fast moving tale that leave Walter Mitty folks like myself wanting more. A wonderful first hack at fiction for Hollenbeck.
Action packed murder mystery with a twist.

While hero Scott Wolfe is a professional photographer, this novel is so fast paced with murder, exotic locations, and beautiful people, it makes Bridges of Madison County---another novel with a professional photographer as main character---look like a slow waltz. Among the roller coaster action and intrigue, the flashbacks to Vietnam give this thriller some suprising twists, turns, and loops that kept me turning the pages.
Great read on vacation book!

Hollenbeck knows of what he speaks. In real life he was a SEAl. He takes great photos and is a leading televison producer. The killer accountant is for real and so are cameos of Hollenbeck's friends. This book is a fictional version of his real life lived on the edge. The book is a fast read, with lots of action, beautiful women in sheer cotton gowns and some tips on wine that are worth the price of admission. This guy does it all ... sort of a northwest James Bond, with a pinch of Francis Coppela and a dash of culinary insouciance ala' Wolfgang Puck. When this SEAL is unleased, there is some serious butt kicking action. This is a movie script waiting to happen. Look for it on the silver screen.
