I love this book,it is very interesting.

Book ReviewMy overall impression of the novel Absolutely Invincible is that it is very interesting but also strange. I think it is interesting because of all the four characters none of them have a friend that is "normal." The four main characters are friends for each other, and all of them have a disability. This makes for exciting character development throughout the book. I also think these characters are strange in the sense that they are unusual. Their disabilities often mean they behaved strangely or have strange characteristics. For example, Hook has a hook for a hand, George cannot remember the past, Heather is deaf, and Amie is blind. They all find creative ways to deal with their personal challenges. This is something I will discuss later in this review. One writing technique the author used was George's dreams. I think this technique was successful since it kept me in suspense. Sometimes, too, I wondered if he was dreaming or remembering. These dreams hinted at future action. For example, one dream tells of one of George's sisters stepped on a bomb and died. This told the reader he is remembering things about his family and his past. Later in the book, the reader learns that his sister is really still alive. In almost every chapter, there was a dream. In a way, George's dreams were a story by themselves. This unified the book and teased me to read ahead. I recommend this book to teenagers. It is a good novel that tells you no matter what your challenges in life are, no matter who you are, you can succeed. It also shows you not to "judge a book by its cover;" not to judge people by their outward appearances or physical abilities. In the book, The Black Ones ( a gang) beat up on members of the Cripple Club just because they are different. One of the gang members even tries to rape Amie. None of these gang members thought about the feelings of Hook, George, Heather or Amie. Just because these friends have disabilities doesn't mean their feelings should be shoved aside, or should they be treated like outsiders. I learned to find out who people are inside, what they're like inside their hearts, before I make a judgement about who they are. I don't want to end up regretting misjudgments of people, like The Black Ones did in Absolutely Invincible.-Siddonne Reeves

I think that this book is the book is the best book ever

Absolutely Invincible is the best book that I've read in my whole life. My reasons being is, the four main characters stuck together no matter what. For example, when they went canoe ridding onto an island, then they saw it was going to rain they left the island as fast as possible. When they started to paddle back to the beach waves started splashing water into the two canoes. That made it hard for them to paddle. Hook came up with an idea by tying the two boats together. This helped them a lot. But when a big wave hit the two boats, the jeans ripped and Anie lost balance and fell into the water. When Heather saw this she immediately went after her, and when Hook saw that Heather was having a hard time bringing Anie to the canoe he went to help them. Now that sticking together. My second reason is that I liked their reaction, e.g. when Anie almost got raped by the Black Ones, George saw this and went to help her by beating them up. The reaction that George had by going to help Anie was good because, when Hook got beat by the Black Ones George couldn't do noting. My last and final reason is that I didn't like the way the book ended e.g. I didn't know what happened to George's father and his little sister Spring. Now that part made me feel not reading the book anymore. The author kept me reading because of George's dreams that he kept having. And because of these dreams I wanted to know what the dreams meant. I wanted to know where the dreams would let him. Mine recommendations of who should read this novel is, people who like to read and for people who would give it a try. I think that this book is also for people who have gone through something like this before. People who don't like to read should give it a try I think that they will like it and maybe if they try to put their self in that kind of sittuation. I should know cause I don't like to read either and guess what, I liked it.

Excellant book

This is an excellent book. My English teacher gave me this book for a book report assignment. In the beginning the book was kind of slow, it wasn't too interesting. After a few chapters, the book started getting really exciting. This book is perfect for a person who loves to learn about different people and issues. The book's characters are believable because you can relate them to everyday life. The technique the author uses to keep the book interesting is bringing things from the past that would help the readers to know the whole past of the character. For example, when George was getting his dreams at night, the readers wanted to know what will happen to George's dreams and if George will find out about his life before his dreams started. The more dreams that George gets the more information the reader gets. This is what kept the book interesting to the readers. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to learn about different people and issues, they would find this book very interesting. This is an excellent book to improve your reading skills. So, overall this is a perfect book for anyone who loves to read.

Like this novel

ABSOLUTELY INVINCIBLE I think that the novel was good because the novel was really about The Cripple Club standing up to their enemies and not backing down. Example when George and Hook were in the schoolyard and they were just setting down under the tree then the Black One's came and starting to pick on them any longer so he started to fight with them. I know some people that think that they own a place, but I don't let them try to start with me. The author used to keep the reader interested by first started to talk about how George started to take Shifu and he was a master in it, that would make readers read to see if their was any action in the novel if you like fighting novel. Also how they started to stick up for each other even if they had a disable part on their body and mainly it was George that made them recover their fears and battle. Hook was the one that helps George to get his memory back by always reminding him about his past. Next the author also used George's dream to keep readers reading ahead. I recommended this novel for people who have feelings for people with disabilities, the reason been is because in today world people like to judge a book by its cover. Another thing this book is really for people who have feelings and understand the moral of what people who are different is going through. I also think it is for people who think too much of themselves.

It was excellent.

First; my overall impression of the novel are positive. The novel was very interesting; it had some suspense and some problem solving. One of the suspense scenes was when Hook's wheelchair rolled onto the road. Problem solving, by saying this I mean they searched for information through the computer about each other and about other people it's almost like searching for information undercover. They found information about George's background. Second; George's dreams were the technique the author used to keep the reader interested. He used this technique so the novel wouldn't be (get) boring, it will keep the reader wanting to turn pages and keep on reading to find out what actually happened an what the dreams meant, If the dreams were about his background. Finally; in my opinion I would say people who have problems or are disabled should read the novel. The reason for this is they can learn to be dependent on them selves. Believe in them selves and know they can do everything and be like a normal person. They don't have to (feel) be different. For example, like the scene when Hook's mom took him to the stadium. She wanted him to understand he does not have to feel sorry for himself he get out in the real world and deal with people and enjoy his life.
