Julie Stafford's Muffin Book

Chose not to give it to my grand daughter.

This book is truly a book for any culture. I read this book in Spanish to my second grade bilingual class. Many are from other Spanish countries. Not only were they interested in the story, it became quite clear that they had a story to tell of some piece of clothing or an artifact that was being used through the generations in their family. An outstanding story to increase an interest in reading.

Who else but Patricia Polacco can create a story about a few pieces of fabric that will have you singing, dancing, crying? If I tell you that I become overwhelmed at the very thought of this little scrap of a book, will you think I am overreacting?
